Releases¶

UnisonOS platform artifacts are delivered from the unison-platform repository.

For the current production-track milestone, the supported installation target is Ubuntu 24.04 native on x86_64 hardware. WSL2, Linux VM, and bare metal remain evaluation channels.

Evaluation Release Spotlight¶

v0.5.0-alpha.1 (Alpha Evaluation)¶

Alpha releases are intended for developer evaluation: installable, boots to “ready”, and end-to-end interaction works, with expected rough edges.

• Release assets (evaluation artifacts + manifest + checksums)
• WSL2 evaluation install
• Linux VM evaluation install
• Bare metal evaluation install

What To Download¶

If your goal is the supported Milestone 1 install path, use the Ubuntu native install docs first and treat evaluation artifacts as optional secondary channels.

If you are intentionally evaluating alpha image channels, a release tag may include WSL2, VM, and bare-metal artifacts plus a manifest and checksums.
